How Cute…? #17: Lady Gaga And Donatella Versace

I am loving the love affair between Lady Gaga and Donatella Versace. How Cute is that?! In appreciation for letting her raid through the Versace archives for her last tour, the Telephone singer has penned a “love letter” to Donatella.

I would like to thank Gaga for her geniality, creativity, incredible talent and super bitchiness. I am honored to be her friend and of course I love the song!- says Ms Versace

About Donatella, Gaga said:

Donatella, maybe she’s a bitch, maybe she’s too skinny, maybe she’s too rich, maybe she’s too out there. Or, maybe she’s brilliant, maybe she’s intelligent, maybe she’s strong, maybe she’s everything, maybe she’s Donatella.

HOW TO BUY A DESIGNER PRINCESS DRESS.

A while back, i had blogged about Harrod’s Christmas Window Display. The Disney and Harrods collaboration continues with an auction at Christie’s.

The auction is for a good cause. According to http://www.vogue.co.uk:

“The sale will take place in November at Christie’s, and will raise money for the Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity.”

Chic, Elegance and Couture that’s what you get.

Thumbs up to Versace, Missoni, Elie Saab, Escada, Marchesa, Valentino, Jenny Packham, Oscar de la Renta, Ralph and Russo for donating their fashion prowess to a worthy cause.

Paddles please. My Money is on Jasmine Tiana or Cinderella! Let’s have a Ball!

PRINCESSES, COCKTAILS AND FISHTAIL

Above her head laid a picture of  fairytale princesses including Snow white , Cinderella, Belle and Pocahontas.

Certainly, this bank’s customer service officer would give Cruella De Vil a run for her money. As she slowly tapped her manicured fingers nonchalantly, one decided to daydream about red carpets, cocktail and fishtail dresses. Every girl/woman has/should have a princess moment. When the dress fits, hair and make-up are in place and everyone just coos over you and then that guy is just speechless when he sees you. (Ok ok maybe i do watch a lot of romcoms).

LANRE DA SILVA

Either way, cocktail and fishtail dresses alwaysgives that princessy feel. You might not have prince William, Harry or any of the EU ones but the right cocktails and fishtails always has that oomf.  It is a wardrobe staple and i applaud Nigerian women for being advocates of ankara/print cocktail dresses. It suits every body and like peplums it accentuates the curves. Oscar de la Renta, Deola Sagoe and Lanre da Silva are some designers whose collections  my princessy heart beat.

Who needs a ball when you can make yours. Its no wonder Oscar de la Renta, Elie Saab, Versace and Valentino have teamed up with Harrods for a fashion extravanganza. Christmas has surely come early this year! I am Disney‘s biggest fan  and can’t wait for November when the store will unveil an extravagant set of window displays showcasing one off pieces created by these world-leading designers each with a unique interpretation of the original Disney Princess dresses.

“We are thrilled to be working with Harrods and some of the world’s most famous designers to sprinkle some magic on Christmas in London this year,” said Anna Hill, a spokesperson for Disney. “The enchanting stories of our Disney Princesses are timeless and continue to inspire girls and women across generations.”

Super super excited!!!!!

Also deep down i have a feeling that Cruella has a princess heart. Although her people skills are shite!
